We now have the SWAT Team roles filled for our in-house feature film titled "MINNEAPOLICE". We're hoping to have the remaining roles filled by the winter season. "MINNEAPOLICE" was written as an attempt to hold up a mirror to all sides in hopes that responsibility is taken to decrease, if not end, unnecessary and senseless deaths, on all sides, so that we can end or at least ebb what appears to be an ongoing feud, distrust, hatred and animosity. Something needs to be done for the sake of generations to come. This film will reflect the tragic and controversial deaths that were heard around the world. There will be a re-creation of those fatal events. Hopefully this production will further the discussion and finally ignite that very much needed change that we all have been praying for.
Unfortunately, this production has been slowed due to so many people seeing the title and police gear and assuming that I am a cop and that the film is in support of the police. That's how bad relations have gotten between law enforcement and, not only the socalled Black community, but with other cultures in this country as well. That is why a movie like this is very necessary. This is only a movie and I am only a producer who realizes the importance of having a more healthy relationship between community and law enforcement... for the sake of our children and their future. Hollywood filmmakers produce action movies with cops in it and no one bats an eye. Look at the movie "Colors", socalled Black people love it. Tupac played a cop in the movie "Gang Related". Ice T played a cop in "Law and Order". This is only a movie. A very necessary one. And one we will have fun filming.
